What is Version 30?

Version 30 is the name of a major feature release of ezyVet. The upgrade will:

  • Incorporate many new features
  • Change some current features

The combined changes in the Version 30 release saves time and boosts productivity for your practice.

Version 30 includes line item groups (invoice sublines) - a long requested enhancement to the ezyVet finance module.

What are the new features in Version 30?

The new features are:

  • A new interface for invoices
  • Line item groups (invoice sublines)
  • Product bundles
  • Service fees
  • A new document template system (known as Twig)
  •  
Can I opt out of Version 30? That is, can I continue to use the current features that Version 30 otherwise changes?

In a nutshell, no. All sites will get the Version 30 upgrade eventually. Note that although the operation and appearance of some of the features that you use will change, you won’t lose any functionality.

Will I get all of the same invoicing-related features that I have with my current version of ezyVet?

Yes. Although the operation and appearance of some of the features will change, you won’t lose any functionality compared to the version of ezyVet that you currently use.

What do I need to do before ezyVet upgrades my site?

Nothing! 😀 ezyVet uses a fully-automated system to upgrade your site. On a technical level, you don’t need to do any migration tasks (such as data exports) before the upgrade.

It’s a good idea to make sure that your staff know about the upcoming changes before your site upgrade. Do watch the feature videos.

What do I need to do after ezyVet upgrades my site?

After the upgrade, you can use the new features. Watch the videos found on this site to help give you an understanding of what each feature does. 

My site uses integrations. Will these continue to operate after the upgrade to invoice sublines?
Yes.
What is the new interface for invoices?

The new interface changes how you manage client invoices and related data. You’ll notice a new clean, modern design, and many new commands and features. The new interface makes client invoicing much easier and quicker to do.

The new interface is in FINANCIAL > Invoices.

What are line item groups (invoice sublines)?

Line item groups (invoice sublines) let you group related invoice line items. Invoice sublines make it easy to manage information in complex invoices. For example, invoices are easier to read because you can put many line items in one group. And you have much better control over the information that shows in printed invoices for your clients.

What are product bundles?

Product bundles let you group related products. Product bundles have many benefits, such as easier product management; easier invoicing of procedures; and better control of the product information that shows on client invoices.

What are service fees?

Service fees are almost the same as ezyVet’s existing product fees feature. But services fees have more functions and make it easier to manage information in complex invoices.

What is the Twig template system?

The Twig template system is ezyVet’s new template system for documents. Compared with the existing template system, the Twig system makes better-quality documents. Twig also has many new template variables that give you better control of document data.
